Three Times The Charm

Here's a thought:

When you crave a food that you know you shouldn't have, try this.

Start by asking yourself:

Do I really want to eat this?

Wait at least one minute and then ask yourself again:

Do I really want to eat this?

Wait at least one more minute and ask yourself one last time:

Do I really want to eat this?

If after asking yourself this question three times, you still decide you want to eat it, go ahead. You obviously have a real craving for this food. So, eat it without guilt. Enjoy!

My hypothesis is that using this technique will make you stop and think before you eat. All too often, we eat mechanically, without thinking ... to feed a craving, to feed an emotion, to feed boredom, to feed nervousness. You name it, we feed it.

Stop and think before you grab and eat.
