Sometimes, it's so easy to lose your way on your journey to getting in shape. You work so hard and, lo and behold, you hop on the scale and you lost ... nothing. If you let it, your slow progress can really get inside your head and do a number on you.
So, think about taking baby steps.
- Pass on the bread with dinner tonight
- Take the stairs (at least down) instead of the elevator
- Take a 30 minute walk with a friend
- Try to eat an apple a day
The trouble with starting quickly and starting aggressively is that it's easier to crash-and-burn. You're tired or your muscles ache or you just miss the food you love so so much.
So, don't take the world on in your first week. Make small changes that you can incorporate into your life as real lifestyle changes. Change one thing at a time. And before you know it, you will be a healthier, happier you!
Ease into new routines, making them a part of your life.
